Boxxer – Simpson Vs Zucco

Over the first weekend of June, one of the biggest domestic dust-ups of the year took place where Barnsley’s own Callum Simpson went toe-to-toe with undefeated Italian Ivan Zucco at Oakwell Stadium, presented by BOXXER.

The sold-out stadium showdown headlined a huge night in Yorkshire, as Simpson looked to make history in front of his hometown crowd and he didn’t disappoint. In front of 15,000 fans, Simpson survived two early knockdowns before turning the tide in brutal fashion, dropping Zucco three times and stopping him in the tenth. A comeback for the ages.

A European title secured. Barnsley crowned a new king.
