Manchester’s AO Arena hosted the Group Stages of the Davis Cup Finals in September. The event, widely regarded as the men’s ‘World Cup of Tennis’, enabled fans to see Australia, France, Switzerland and Great Britain battle it out for a spot in Finals later in the year.
The AO Arena at Manchester was a 13,000 sell-out for Great Britains final match against France and the battle to qualify for the finals. This was the Davis Cup at its very best, with a partisan crowd and epic edge-of-the-seat evening action on a Sunday.
The event has been described as having a “quintessential party atmosphere. From DJs, strobe lights, brass bands to hologrammatic activations while running alongside the programme at the arena, there was a fan village in Cathedral Gardens beside the National Football Museum with bars, food stalls and tennis games for everyone to pick up a racket and try.

ELEV8 Moment
This was a hard one, with so many moments to choose. From GB lights and LED takeover show, a record breaking crowd, full venue phone torch moment, DJ full takeover show to battle of the bands.
But our ELEV8 moment has to go to the creation of the infamous GB bucket hats, which even saw the GB team getting involved!
