2023 Modern Pentathlon World Championships

This year’s Modern Pentathlon World Championships are the first to be staged in Britain since 2009 and are being contested in the new, action-packed 90-minute format. Spectators can watch the fencing, horse-riding and laser run live from their seats in an outdoor arena, while the swimming section – taking place in the STV’s Olympic-sized pool – is broadcast via a large video screen in the stadium.

Spectators saw inspiring and skillful displays of versatility and strength as these ultimate athletes compete for podium positions and strive to win points that boost their chances of taking part in the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
